Dual-gear train:
The Champ has two gear trains per wheel, one at 135:1 and the second at 27:1. This would allow us to switch between power and speed depending on the situation at hand.
Robust but simple strategy:
Our plan was to orientate to face down the table. We would drive stright and park in the opponents jail. As we passed between the two professors on Mass Ave, our High-speed whips would knock them on to our campus. This stratagy would have posed a serious threat to King Louie, the winner of this year's contest. If all went well, we would have ran into him before he could get to the blocks.
Unique base plate modification:
The bulldozer looks really cool and looking cool is a major component of this contest.
High-speed whips:
Whips were made by attaching the wide tank treds to motors and spinning them around. They moved blocks well.
Managable Code Structure:
See for yourself.
And even though we never qualified we learned enough to have some sort of satisfaction. Anyway, somethings never get done in time. Be sure to read my journal.
