Motor Specifications

Here are some specs for the small Polaroid motors used in the 6.270 contest. These specs are shamelessly borrowed without permission from the 2.007 web site at http://pergatory.mit.edu/2.007/handouts/actuator/polaroid/polaroid.html.

The motors are donated to us by Polaroid, but are made by the Japanese company Mabuchi. They are normally used to rewind film in cameras. For their size, they have a suprisingly high amount of torque, so they are fairly powerful for contest use.

Without any further ado, here are the specs are reported by 2.007. You guys do not get the complete motor w/ transmission assembly that 2.007 gets, so only the motor specs are reported here.:
