Welcome to our 6.270 Autonomous Robot Design Competition site for IAP
2007.
We
are:
Pete Kruskall ('08, Course VI - Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science)
John McGonagle ('09, Course VI - Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science) and
Daniel Handal ('09, Course XB - Chemical Biological
Engineering).
This Year:
For
this year's competition, the name of the game was Snakes on a Plane: R². The
game play and scoring was relatively straight-forward. You and your opponent
face off in a 6 by 8 feet arena at symmetrically opposite corners for a 60
second match. The objective of the game is to collect as many of your six
snakes (balls) on the board and place them in a scoring territory (labeled X,
Y, and Z). The player who controls more territories wins.
Here is a picture of the game board from lab:
Team Name:
Our team name, Fallen Angel, comes from the fact that although our
ideas for our
robot were extraordinary, bright, divine, and powerful, we were too ambitious
for greatness and hence failed to bring this vision into a complete reality.

website.
