6.270: Autonomous Robot Design Competition 2009

6.270 is an annual autonomous robot design competition held during IAP and run entirely by student volunteers. The most defining element of this competition is that all robots are built primarily with Legos. The 2009 competition's theme was Mission to Mars. Participants receive 6 units of credit for building a competition-ready robot by the end of January.

In addition to the assortment of Lego pieces, mainly from the Technic series, 6.270 robots utilize a variety of electronic components, such as distance sensors, LED's, phototransistors, servos, motors, and gyros, which are all plugged into the Happyboard. All of the robots are coded in C, which is loaded onto the Happyboard.

"Oliver" was Team 13's entry into this competition and was constructed by Sari Canelake, Liz Denys, and Kat Kononov.
