About Us

6.270 is MIT’s IAP autonomous robot design competition.

So we built a robot.

The materials we had to play with? A large though sadly finite amount of LEGO, a decidedly finite amount of sensors, a circuit board codable in C, and solder, hot glue, ribbon wire, header, shrink wrap, and other such useful things in excess.

The time frame? A few days more than three weeks between the moment we were told our challenge and the moment of impoundment.

The result? A structurally and electrically sound robot that could orient itself, drive very, very straight, and perform many other dashing deeds of derring-do -- that unfortunately never amounted to actually scoring any points in competition.
