Autonomous Robot Design Competition

Overview

Welcome to our 6.270 website for MIT's Autonomous Robot Design Competition. This course seeks to teach the design process through the design, construction, and control of a LEGO robot.

Each student is provided with the same tool kit and the same resources to build a robust, functional robot. There are several distinct elements required in this process. The robot must be constructed out of the provided LEGO pieces. The team is given a budget of sensor points to purchase electronics for interfacing with the outside world. Finally, the robot must be programmed to be completely autonomous.

This website is a summary of a month of designing, building, and programming. It includes an overview of this year's contest and our robot design.
