The Seeding Rounds

During the seeding Rounds, we failed miserably. We lost in the seeding round during the first run through because our robot did not successfully drive straight. We scored only two of the four intended balls on the first run through, crashed into the other bot and spun off course. The other robot canceled out our territory and scored in another.

The Competition

In the competition, we won the first two rounds. Our robot oriented correctly and followed the general plan. Unfortunately, in one of the early matches, our robot got stuck to another and the motors attempted to move the robot, but just spun in place. In the following two matches, the damage to the motors was noticeable. The robot correctly figured out what way to orient itself, but the motors neglected to function. The last two losses consisted of sad attempts for our robot to turn to the correct orientation. The motors did not function and our bot barely moved. This ended our record, 2 and 2. Overall, the structure was a success. It was unfortunate that the motors broke. This problem might have been solved with some sort of time out function, but otherwise Ringo was a success.
