Snakes On A Plane: R^2
February 1, 2007

Round #1: OMG! Pirates1 vs. Lucky Number 13
0:0 DOUBLE LOSS!

Round #2: OMG! Pirates1 vs. What Happened?
1:0 WIN!

Round #3: OMG! Pirates1 vs. Team 31
2:3 LOSS!

In Round #1, OMG! Pirates1 was really close to scoring. Though our strategy played out nicely, turning was a little off, so our robot did not manage to push any of the balls into a scoring zone. However, we did manage to tear off a part of the other robot with our spinning routine!

OMG! Pirates1 won Round #2 by pushing one ball into a scoring area! The other robot froze and was not able to score. Amazingly, we made it to the final rounds (apparently the "Finals" are Rounds #3 till the end).

In Round #3, OMG! Pirates1 was able to successfully push two balls into a corner scoring zone, as did the opponent team. Unfortunately, our robot failed to complete the rest of its strategy, and the other team managed to move to the center scoring zone with one ball inside it. As a result, we were out of the competition.

But to our surprise, our team won Best Decorations for our robot! We had a Lego palm tree and various pirates all over the place. Still pretty darn cool. =)
