We competed in the 2002 MIT Autonomous Robot Competition
(6.270). The competition is over now but you can find
everything and anything you ever wanted to know about
our robot here!
The Competition
Our robot, stupidchicken, worked perfectly in the lab
but due to some unavoidable circumstances (stupid paint!),
we only made it to the 5th round of competition. We
lost our first match due to inadequate shielding of
our shaft encoders. We lost our second match in the
5th round due to the thickness of the new paint on the
contest tables. We have great luck don't we? However,
we did win the Organizer's Choice award, so it
wasn't all downhill! Overall, we had a great time and
are very happy with stupidchicken!
We would like to thanks the following people for their
help throughout the month:
Manu, Neil and Neil: Our beloved organizer and
TAs
Ben, Jer, and Paul: For keeping us entertained
(mainly Paul)
Yin Jie: For providing us with that great logo!
